  1. Hi Tom,

    I’m listening to your podcast discussing what is called the Spiral, a modular telephone. I think the idea is kind of ridiculous when you see that the chipmakers are doing a very similar thing with a modular approach to chip design. Their goal is to put a cell phone on a single piece of silicon so that costs are very low and they can update the design quickly as new technologies emerge. What’s the point of replacing modules of a phone yourself when you can replace your entire entry level cell phone for very little money?
