Anthropic Says Claude Will Stay Ad-Free
Anthropic confirmed its AI chatbot Claude will remain ad-free, contrasting OpenAI’s plans to introduce ads in ChatGPT. The company cited trust, productivity, and sensitive use cases like health advice as reasons, while leaving open the possibility of revisiting the decision. The new Super Bowl ad hints at OpenAI without naming it.

AMD Q1 Revenue Forecast Misses Hopes
AMD forecast first-quarter revenue at $9.8 billion, above average estimates but below more ambitious projections. CEO Lisa Su said Microsoft’s next-gen Xbox, using AMD’s semi-custom chip, is on track for a 2027 launch, and Valve’s AMD-powered Steam Machine is expected to ship this year.
Uber Earnings Fall Short, Plans Robotaxi Expansion
Uber’s Q1 earnings missed expectations, and the company warned its effective tax rate will rise to 22–25% in 2026. Gross bookings are expected to beat estimates. Uber plans to launch robotaxi services in 15 cities by year-end, including Hong Kong, Madrid, Houston, and Zurich, partnering with Baidu and WeRide.
Epic Games Store to Get Major Upgrades
Epic Games plans a 2026 overhaul for the Epic Games Store, improving speed, social features, and cross-platform support. Updates will include player profiles, messaging, voice chat, community spaces, a forum-like feature, and a shared library across PC and mobile.

European officials report that Russian satellites Luch-1 and Luch-2 shadowed European geostationary satellites over three years, intercepting unencrypted command signals, potentially allowing monitoring, mapping of ground stations, or interference.

DOJ and States to Appeal Google Search Remedies
The DOJ and eight states will appeal a ruling in the Google search antitrust case that stopped short of breaking up the company. Judge Mehta rejected divestiture requests but imposed more limited remedies, which Google has also appealed.
