Amazon closed its acquisition of movie studio MGM Thursday. A coalition of the biggest smart home platforms, Google, Amazon, Apple, Samsung, etc. to work toward interoperability was scheduled to launch this summer,but is being rescheduled for autumn. And Snap launched “Custom Landmarkers” Wednesday. It lets the more than 250,000 lens creators tie experiences to physical locations like stores, sculptures, and other landmarks.
