DTNS 2140: My car has lasers

DTNSTim Stevens joins me to talk about the tech news of the day, Ford’s solar car, and auto expectations at CES.

Multiple versions (ogg, video etc.) from Archive.org.

Big thanks to Dan Lueders for the music!

Glad your still talking. Your pace and humor set you apart. Please grab a better mic. Your voice deserves a RE20 or one of the Bob’s mic.

Also. The background music sounds like your ducking it off your voc. Please set the release longer. It’s pumping at time.

OK just found the video of your show and your audio was ok there so could be the encoder for audio only.

Thanks Tom, great premiere show & keep ’em coming!
Your show will take the place of TNT 2.0 RIP TNT 1.0-1.9 🙁 Sorry, Sarah & Jason. Maybe one of them could be a future guest? 😉

I’m using a Heil PR40. Audio sound fine on my copy of the mp3 too…

Congrats on the first of MANY new shows! This has also replaced TNT for me. Looking forward to future episodes and kick-ass guests!

Tom… how is the best way to send you an email or PM? I do have a question that I don’t think is appropriate for this forum.

Using my iPad I couldn’t subscribe in a way that worked with the Podcasts app (I know—I’m just waiting for Marco’s podcast catcher and this one is very adequate until then). When I clicked on the link the app didn’t recognize it.

Fortunately I was able to subscribe within the app by searching for it directly.

I agree with Mark Robertson. This is my new show to replace TNT. Sorry Jason & Sarah.

I actually just found you were no longer with TWIT today when I noticed your absence on TNT. I have watched that show (along with Frame Rate) constantly for a few years now and really looked forward to your insight on the latest tech developments.

Good luck with this new show and Cord Killers as well, I know I will be a loyal listener. Also look forward to your next book, all the best in 2014!

I like this show Tom keep up the good work, also waiting for the new frame rate too is there an update on when that will debut ?

I will continue to listen to Jason and Sarah, I figure the more news I get the more informed I am.

Glad to see you are keeping the tech news gig going. Subscribed!
Any chance you could make it longer? My commute is 45 minutes. LOL
I did say goodbye to the other show. You were the only reason I listened.

Hmm, is the title of the show permanent or still beta-ish?

I am trying to get this so I can listen on my podcast player. Are there plans to support Windows Phone soon?

  19. January 6, 2014

Microsoft has to add it. Hoping they do soon!
