One Response to CNET How to: Upgrade Windows XP to Windows 7

    Hi Tom,

I rely heavily on CNET.com recommendations and reviews which means I was tremendously disappointed when I followed your advice of buying Laplink PCMover. I have had horrendous problems with it and now chose to do a clean install of Windows 7 and load all my applications and files manually.

After four attempts to get PCMover to work on the new computer I decided that maybe I should check out some user reviews. I was shocked at how many negative comments there are for this product.

The success of your application reviews hangs entirely on most people experiencing the ease of use that you endorse the application as having. If too many people experience the opposite then the only natural outcome if for you to lose viewers. Based on my own experience and the obvious negative experience of so many others I feel you gave a very unbalanced view of this particular application.

  • @WizChic I loved it! Felt like a whole season in one episode.
  • @oldman916 Lots of headlines mis-stating that the release date is Oct. 25. It's the media that's confused.
  • Frame Rate begins soon, right now we're talking about squirrels and pigeons in the TWiT chat room http://t.co/KgxxBdQb
